Gales and rain spread in across northern Britain today but dry across England. Some light rain may affect the far north of France, Belgium, Holland and Denmark with rain and snow into parts of Norway and Sweden. Largely dry but cold across Finland and Russia with sub zero temperatures all day. Cloudy with snow flurries across the Baltic Region, Belarus into the Ukraine. Dry and cold across Romania with rain into the former Yugoslavia into Greece and Italy. Continued dry and sunny across Turkey and Bulgaria. Heavy showers persist across the Balearics today but mainly dry across Spain and Portugal today. Sunny across the Alps into Switzerland and Austria today. Lots of sunshine across Poland today.

A dry day to come across England today and with a cell of high pressure dominating Europe. Much of Europe will also be settled and dry. Expect sunny spells from France across the Low Countries into Germany, Poland into Russia but temperatures become colder heading east with below freezing high temperatures into Russia. Rain is expected across Finland today with light rain into Sweden. Dry and cold across the Ukraine into Hungry, Austria and Switzerland. Rain and snow is forecast across the former Yugoslavia with rain across Greece and Bulgaria while heavy showers persist across the south of Italy. Dry across Turkey and northern Italy. More showers are forecast around the Balearics but a dry, sunny day to come across Spain and Portugal.
