Very windy to the north, but plenty of sunshine and dry over central and southern Europe
Tuesday
A wet and windy day across England with rain into Norway and Sweden. A dry, windy day across Finland with more snow across Russia.
High pressure will continue to keep a large part of Europe settled and dry with lots of sunshine but there will be dense fog patches from France across into Germany, Poland and across Hungry, Austria and Switzerland that may not clear.
Colder too heading east into Europe. Mildest today across a sunny Spain and Portugal but an area of heavy showers is expected south of the Balearics over to Sicily while it looks sunny and dry across Italy, Greece, Turkey and into Romania.
Wednesday
High pressure through Iberia bringing dry weather with plenty of sunshine. This sunshine extends into the central Mediterranean, through Italy and into Greece and Turkey.
Some cloud through central parts of France, with sunshine to the north and south of this area of cloud. Austria, Switzerland and Hungary will be rather cloudy but it should be dry. The Low Countries and Germany as well as Switzerland should be dry with sunny spells.
Very windy through Scandinavia with showers in the west. Inland it should be drier with sunny spells. Through the Baltic it will be dry with some sunny spells, although rain will be passing through the Baltic States and Finland.
