Colder through northern areas but a brighter day to the south
Tuesday
Very windy again across much of Europe into the central Mediterranean with gales. Colder as well with snow showers across parts of Britain and across Norway. More heavy showers to also affect northern France, Belgium, Holland and Denmark with heavy snow over the Alps. Another area of snow is expected across Russia, northern Finland, The Baltic States into Belarus while rain is expected across the Ukraine, the former Yugoslavia and Hungry. Heavy showers are forecast for parts of Greece and Italy west into Corsica and Sardinia. Dry across Portugal and Spain with sunny spells and this extends into the south of France. Lots of sunshine to be found across Turkey today. Some showers for the north of Germany these of snow in the south.
Wednesday
High pressure through Iberia brings sunny spells and dry weather here. Italy has a cool day with sunny spells. Greece and Turkey will be cloudier with showers or longer spells of rain at times. This cloud and rain affects the east of Bulgaria and Romania too.
Southern parts of France will be dry with sunny spells, and this dry weather extends into northern Italy as well. Through northern France, the Low Countries, Germany and Poland the weather will be windier and more unsettled with cloud and rain at times.
Sunny spells and some wintry showers over Norway and Sweden, especially to the south. The Baltic States and Finland will be breezy with wintry showers.
