Fair for southern Europe, but wind, rain and snow to the north
Thursday
Fair weather over Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine. It should be dry too. Remaining fair over southern parts of France and most of Italy. Some showers for eastern Italy, and these extending into Greece. More cloud and some showers affecting Turkey.
Through northern France the weather is going to be cloudy and breezy with rain at times. rain later in the day through the Low Countries, but fair over Germany and Poland with sunny spells here. Fair for Switzerland and Hungary as well as Austria.
To the north Denmark will be fair with some bright spells. A few wintry showers through Norway, but for the rest of Scandinavia the day will be mainly fair. Some snow affecting the Baltic States though.
Friday
A fine day to come through the Mediterranean on Friday. Good spells of sunshine stretching from Spain and Portugal, across Italy and into Greece and Turkey. More sunshine too for the far south of France as well as much of Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.
Central France is bothered by cold front which will be producing some outbreaks of rain. This rain also through Germany and into Poland where it may become heavy, together with a strong wind.
Very windy through Denmark with severe gales and rain or sleet here. Snow affects the south of Norway and southern Sweden, sweeping into the Baltic States. Gales across Finland later with snow here.
