Gales across northern Europe

Today
Very windy again across Scandinavia into eastern parts of Europe with gales. Colder as well with snow showers across parts of Britain and across Norway. Light rain to affect northern France but dry across, Belgium and Holland with showers for and Denmark. Expect heavy snow over the Alps into Austria. Another area of snow is expected across Russia, northern Finland, The Baltic States into Belarus and northern Poland while rain is expected across the western Ukraine. Mainly dry across the former Yugoslavia and Hungry. Dry as well across Greece and southern parts of Italy with showers in the north and west into Corsica and Sardinia. Snow will affect eastern Turkey, sunny in the west. Outbreaks of rain spread into Portugal but dry across Spain with sunny spells and this extends into the south of France. Some showers for the north of Germany these of snow in the south but fine across central areas with sunny spells.

A wet day across England with some rain across Spain today. Sunnier across Portugal with a few isolated showers. Lots of fine, dry weather to come across all of France, Belgium into Holland and Denmark. Cold across Norway and Sweden with long sunny spells while heavy snow is expected across Finland, Russia and the Baltic States. High pressure will keep it settled and dry across Poland into Germany, Switzerland into Austria and Hungry. Outbreaks of rain will affect the former Yugoslavia and northern Italy. Fair and dry across southern Italy into Greece and Turkey.
