Showery in the Mediterranean

Today
Windy across Britain with rain in the north, dry across England. Fair and dry as well across France with sunny spells while it looks like a wet Christmas across Belgium, Holland, Germany and Poland with outbreaks of rain. An area of heavy snow is expected from Finland into Russia, the western Ukraine into Romania and the former Yugoslavia. Rain clears the Baltic States in the morning. Cold but dry and sunny across Norway and Sweden. Outbreaks of snow will fall across Turkey but a dry day with sunny spells across Greece. A windy day in the central Mediterranean with frequent heavy showers and some may affect southern Italy. A few showers also around the Balearics but fine and sunny across Portugal and Spain.

Boxing Day
High pressure will give much of western Europe a settled dry day. Dry then with some sunshine across England into France, Portugal into Spain and all of Italy. Rather mild here as well. Cloudy across Belgium, Holland and northern Germany with some patchy rain. Dry and sunnier across southern Germany. Outbreaks of rain will affect Poland, Belarus, Austria and Hungary with snow across the former Yugoslavia. Dry and cold across the Ukraine into Romania and Bulgaria with sunny spells and a few showers across Greece. Cold but sunnier across Turkey today. Expect snow to come across Finland and Russia today but dry with sunny spells across the Baltic States into Sweden and Norway.
