Unsettled Mediterranean and Scandinavia, but fairer to the west

Sunday
A fair day through Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine and dry weather. There will be showers affecting northern France but the south should be dry. A cold day through the Low Countries and Germany, with windy weather through Poland.
Heavy showers through central parts of the Mediterranean with heavy showers in Italy. There will be some showers in Greece, with some rain or showers into western Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania will have a few showers, but some sunny spells too.
To the north low pressure will bring strong winds and unsettled weather through Finland and the Baltic States. There will be rain and snow, some of it heavy. Windy with a mix of sunshine and wintry showers through Sweden and Norway.


Monday
Good spells of sunshine to come across Spain and Portugal today. The sunshine extending into France and much of Germany, although there could be some morning mist and fog patches as well as a widespread frost. Low pressure over Italy bringing unsettled weather here, with some heavy periods of rain and showers here. Showery conditions over Greece, some of them heavy. Turkey is going to be dry overall, although some rain to the west.
Further north there will be some heavy periods of rain through Bulgaria and Romania, but western areas of these countries are probably going to be drier. Southern Poland, Austria and Switzerland as well as Hungary will be drier with sunshine. Increased winds and a few showers over northern parts of Germany and the Low Countries.
Low pressure in central Sweden. Gales through the Baltic States with wintry showers here. More persistent sleet and snow affecting Finland, some of this heavy at times. Snowy too over central and northern parts of Sweden. Norway will be cold with some wintry showers throughout the day.
