Blustery showers for central and northern Europe

Sunday
Hot in the south of Spain and Portugal today, with plenty of sunshine. More cloud in central Spain, and there may be an isolated afternoon thunderstorm. Rain and showers in northern Italy, but southern Italy is dry with sunshine. Greece will also remain dry with warm sunshine, although an increased risk of thunderstorms for Turkey and Cyprus. A blustery and showery day to come for France Persistent rain for Switzerland, Austria and the south of Germany, which may give snow over the Alps. Low pressure centred near Denmark brings showers, also affecting northern Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Unsettled conditions in southern Scandinavia, with showers for southern Sweden and the Baltic states. Further north is mostly dry with sunny spells.

Monday
Staying hot and sunny in southern Spain and Portugal on Monday, more cloud in the north with showery rain on the Biscay coast. Staying unsettled for France with sunshine and heavy thundery showers. Breezy and showery conditions extend across Germany and the Low Countries, with showers merging into persistent spells of rain in the Swiss and Austrian Alps. A few showers in northern Italy, sunshine in the south. Warm sunshine and a few thunderstorms in Greece and Turkey. Low pressure over Scandinavia brings showery pulses of rain to Norway and southern Sweden. A spell of persistent to heavy rain may affect eastern Poland, Belarus and the Baltic states.
