Very unsettled across central Europe
Monday
Hot and sunny in southern Spain and Portugal on Monday, more cloud in the north with showery rain on the Biscay coast. Unsettled and cool for France with lots of heavy thundery showers. Showers may merge into persistent spells of rain in Switzerland and Austria. A few showers in northern Italy, sunshine in the south. Warm sunshine and a few thunderstorms in Greece and Turkey. Low pressure over Scandinavia brings showery pulses of rain to Norway and southern Sweden. Breezy and showery conditions also extend across Denmark, Germany and the Low Countries. A spell of persistent to heavy rain may affect eastern Poland, parts of Ukraine and Belarus plus the Baltic states.

Staying hot and sunny in southern Spain and Portugal. Central and southern Europe is cooler and very unsettled with widespread thundery bursts of rain. France and Germany are very showery. Italy, Switzerland and Austria may see prolonged spells of rain, and snow across the Alps. The Balkan states are also unsettled, and a few thunderstorms may break out in Greece and Turkey. The Greek Islands and Cyprus should see good spells of warm sunshine. Scandinavia is also unsettled, with rain and showers in Norway, Sweden and Finland. It will be cold in the far north with snow showers.
