Showers Across Southeast Europe

Today
Very warm to hot and sunny across Spain and Portugal today. It also becomes warmer across France will be dry with sunny spells. High pressure will also keep it fair and dry across Belgium, Holland, all of Germany into the Czech Republic and Poland. Some rain may affect Denmark. Rain and snow showers are forecast across southern parts of Norway. Most of Sweden should be dry with a few scattered wintry showers expected across parts of Finland. Lots of heavy showers to come across northern parts of Russia today with more persistent and heavy rain across southern Russia into the eastern half of the Ukraine and Romania while some heavy, possibly thundery showers affect Bulgaria. Western parts of Turkey and eastern parts of Turkey should be fair and dry. Just the odd shower across mainland Greece, otherwise dry and sunny. A few sharp showers are possible eastern Mediterranean. Lots of sunshine is expected across the Adriatic Region and across into Italy, Corsica and Sardinia as well as the Balearics you rain and snow showers are forecast for Estonia but dry across most of the Baltic States into Belarus and western parts of the Ukraine and Romania. A strong easterly wind will be blowing through the Straits of Gibraltar.

Rain clears England and spreads into northern France. Fair and dry across southern France, Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Hot across Iberia with sunny spells for Portugal and Spain and dry, sunny conditions will extend eastward across the Balearics into Italy, the Adriatic Region and much of the Balkans. Rain and heavy showers though are expected across Greece with sunshine and showers for Turkey. For Poland, the Baltic States, Belarus, the Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria the weather is set fine and dry. Heavy showers are forecast across Russia, these of snow in the north and also across Finland. Outbreaks of snow are likely across northern parts of Sweden and Norway with rain in the south. Strong easterly winds will persist through the Straits of Gibraltar
