Fine through southern Europe, rain in the east

Friday
Today strong easterly winds to gale force will affect northern Spain and Straits of Gibraltar. The hottest temperatures today will be across Spain, Portugal, eastern parts of the Ukraine, southern Russia and Turkey. It will be dry with lots of sunshine across Portugal, Spain, France, England and across the Low Countries into much of Germany. An area of heavy rain is forecast across Poland down through the Czech Republic, Hungary and across into the Adriatic Region and southward into much of Italy. Expect some heavy, thundery showers across Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. Much of Turkey will be fine and sunny. Some rain to come across northern parts of Norway, otherwise a dry day with sunny spells across southern Norway, Sweden, the Baltic Region and much of Russia. Spells of rain will affect Finland.

A very warm day with good spells of sunshine through Spain and Portugal. There is the chance of a few showers over central parts of Spain. More sunshine for the Balearics and southern Italy as well as Greece and Turkey.
A fair and warm day in France. An odd shower through the Low Countries, but mainly dry here. More dry weather to come in Germany, but some cloud and rain through Poland. A few heavy showers in Austria and Hungary. Fair for Switzerland with more sunshine here.
Fair for Denmark with good spells of sunshine. Cloud and some rain in the Baltic States, but fine through Finland and sunny here. Showers across Norway, some of them heavy.
