Summery across Scandinavia

Today
Fair and dry across England. While the far south of France will again be dry and sunny, elsewhere expect plenty of heavy showers with the risk of thunder. Persistent and heavy rain is forecast again for Belgium, Holland, Germany and Switzerland with heavy showers across the far north of Italy, into Austria, the Adriatic Region, Hungary, Romania and southern Poland. Northern Poland along with Belarus, the Ukraine, the Baltic States, Finland and most of Russia should remain hot, dry and sunny. A few showers to come across western parts of Norway today otherwise be dry and mostly sunny across most of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Heavy showers develop across parts of Romania, but a dry, sunny and very warm day is expected across Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey along with central and southern parts of Italy. Another very warm to hot day with unbroken sunshine across Portugal and Spain. A brisk easterly wind develops through the Straits of Gibraltar with strong northwest winds again across southern France. It also looks quite windy across the Greek Isles.

Thursday
Very warm today across much of Scandinavia, northern Germany, Poland and down across the Adriatic Region and through the Balkans to Turkey with the hottest weather expected across southern parts of Spain and Portugal. Rain is expected across eastern England and across eastern parts of France with over an inch of rain expected in the Lyon region. A number of showers are forecast for Belgium, Holland and western parts of Germany. Western parts and southern parts of France should be dry. Hot and sunny today across Portugal and Spain. Expect sunny spells across Italy but through the day occasional showers will develop with some heavy. Outbreaks of locally heavy rain are forecast for Austria and the Adriatic Region. Sunny, dry and very warm across Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey. Sea breezes will keep coasts cooler. Most of Romania should be dry and sunny for a few showers in the north. Lots of dry weather to come as well across the Ukraine and Russia with the odd shower. Most of the Baltic States should be mostly sunny and dry with a day of sunny spells and showers across Poland. Apart from some showers around western coasts of Norway, most of Norway, Finland and Sweden will be warm and sunny. A strong mistral will persist across southern France and it will be quite windy through the central Mediterranean. Brisk north westerly winds will persist as well across the eastern Mediterranean.
