Hot & Summery across Iberia, Greece, Turkey
Today
Very warm today across much of Scandinavia, northern Germany, Poland and down across the Adriatic Region and through the Balkans to Turkey with the hottest weather expected across southern parts of Spain and Portugal. Rain is expected across eastern England and across eastern parts of France with over an inch of rain expected in the Lyon region. A number of showers are forecast for Belgium, Holland and western parts of Germany. Western parts and southern parts of France should be dry. Hot and sunny today across Portugal and Spain. Expect sunny spells across Italy but through the day occasional showers will develop with some heavy, especially in the far north. Outbreaks of locally heavy rain are forecast for Austria and the Adriatic Region. Sunny, dry and very warm across Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey. Sea breezes will keep coasts cooler. Most of Romania should be dry and sunny for a few showers in the north. Lots of dry weather to come as well across the Ukraine and Russia with the odd shower. Most of the Baltic States should be mostly sunny and dry with a day of sunny spells and showers across Poland. Apart from some showers around western coasts of Norway, most of Norway, Finland and Sweden will be warm and sunny. A strong mistral will persist across southern France and it will be quite windy through the central Mediterranean. Brisk north westerly winds will persist as well across the eastern Mediterranean.

Hot and sunny across Portugal and Spain today. Fine as well across the Balearics. Much of Europe is looking very unsettled but quite warm. Heavy showers are forecast for much of France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and across into the Adriatic Region along with the Czech Republic, Hungary, southern Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine. Some of the showers will carry the risk of thunder the risk of heavy thunderstorms across Belgium and Holland to give some torrential downpours of rain. Northern parts of Poland along with the Baltic States and most of Russia should be very warm to hot with sunny spells. Quite warm and quite sunny again across much of Scandinavia, although a few heavy showers may again affect western parts of Norway. Southern parts of France should remain sunny and dry but staying very windy with a strong mistral continuing to blow down across southern France through Corsica and Sicily. Very warm across Italy with sunny spells but late in the day a few heavy showers will develop. Greece and Turkey can expect a very warm, sunny, summery day.
