Thundery showers central and eastern Europe

Friday
Hot and sunny across Portugal and Spain today. Fine as well across the Balearics. Much of Europe is looking very unsettled but quite warm. Heavy showers are forecast for much of France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and across into the Adriatic Region along with the Czech Republic, Hungary, southern Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine. Some of the showers will carry the risk of thunder the risk of heavy thunderstorms across Belgium and Holland to give some torrential downpours of rain.
Northern parts of Poland along with the Baltic States and most of Russia should be very warm to hot with sunny spells. Quite warm and quite sunny again across much of Scandinavia, although a few heavy showers may again affect western parts of Norway. Southern parts of France should remain sunny and dry but staying very windy with a strong mistral continuing to blow down across southern France through Corsica and Sicily. Very warm across Italy with sunny spells but late in the day a few heavy showers will develop. Greece and Turkey can expect a very warm, sunny, summery day.

Saturday
A fair day in Portugal and Spain with plenty of sunshine and warm conditions. Staying fair for the Balearics too. A few heavy showers in northern Italy with the south being dry and sunny. Fair for Greece and Turkey with more sunshine to come here.
Heavy showers across eastern France whilst the west will be fine with plenty of sunshine. Fair across the Low Countries and Germany. Eastern Poland will have some cloud and rain. Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland will be warm with the threat of some heavy showers forming in the afternoon.
Heavy showers across Norway with some cloud and a few outbreaks of rain for Sweden. Denmark should be dry with good spells of sunshine. A windy day with some rain or drizzle in the Baltic States whilst Finland should be dry with good spells of sunshine.
