Very Warm across Europe

Today
Very hot across Iberia today with temperatures into the 40s. Much of Europe will be very warm with 30+ degrees Celsius across Eastern Europe. So a sunny, hot day to come across Spain and Portugal. Very warm and largely dry and sunny as well across France, Germany just a few showers across the northern coast of France. A front moving into the north will bring a good deal of cloud, showers and spells of rain Norway, Sweden, Denmark and into the Low Countries. Some heavy, possibly thundery showers are in the forecast for Finland, the Baltic States and parts of Poland. Most of Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic should be very warm, dry and sunny. A few heavy showers may develop across the Adriatic Region. Heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms are likely across the Alps and also down through Greece and southern Italy. Fine across northern Italy and also sunny and very warm across most of Turkey.


Wednesday
The heat wave will continue across Spain and Portugal and here it stays hot, dry and sunny. It also continues warm and sunny across most of France with sunny spells and some late heavy showers are likely to develop across Belgium, Holland, parts of Germany, across the Alps and the far south of Italy. Most of Italy though will be very warm and sunny. Across Greece there will be a few late heavy showers otherwise fine and dry from Russia across the Baltic States into Belarus, Ukraine and down through most of the Balkans and the Adriatic Region, it's going to be a warm day with sunny spells and just a small chance of a shower. A number of heavy showers are expected across Finland today. Across Norway and Sweden it will be largely dry and sunny as it will be across Denmark. Strong easterly winds will persist through the Straits of Gibraltar.
