Thundery showers in the west of Europe, but fine to the east
Friday
A hot day with thundery showers across Portugal and Spain on Friday. Fine for the Balearics and Portugal with plenty of sunshine here. Some heavy thunderstorms forming in Greece, but fine through Turkey with good spells of sunshine here. Cloud and some thundery showers in western France, but dry with sunshine to the east. The Low Countries and Germany may have a few showers but should be dry overall. Fair weather to come through Poland and a few showers in Hungary. Austria and Switzerland should be dry and bright with good sunny spells. Fair in Denmark with sunny spells, and staying that way for the Baltic States. Showers in Sweden, a few of them heavy, but mainly dry with sunny spells in Norway. A few heavy showers to come through Finland.
Saturday
Some heavy thunderstorms affecting much of Portugal and western Spain today. Fair in more eastern and southern areas. Some high cloud for the Balearics, with plenty of sunshine to come in Italy and Greece. heavy, thundery showers for Turkey.
There will be thundery showers in central and western parts of France too. A few showers breaking out later in the Low Countries but for most of Germany and Poland the day is fine and sunny. More sunshine in Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
A fine day to come in Denmark with lots of sunshine here. More sunshine in the Baltic States, a few showers for Finland. Norway should be dry with lots of sunshine here.
