Very Warm to Hot Across Much of Europe
Today
Very warm across Europe today with temperatures quite widely in the 30s. Showers are in the forecast for Britain, the northern half of France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the Adriatic Region and thundery across southern Germany, Italy and the Adriatic Region while southern parts of France will be rather windy but dry and sunny. Hot, dry and sunny across Portugal, Spain. Lots of sunshine extends east across the Balearics into Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily. Across most of Greece it will be very warm and sunny as should Turkey. Quite a lot of showers are forecast across Norway and Sweden. Fine, sunny weather is expected across Finland, most of Russia, the Baltic States, Poland, Belarus and south across the Ukraine into Romania and Bulgaria. The brisk north westerly wind blowing from southern France down across Sardinia towards Sicily.

Very unsettled across western and central parts of Europe today. Heavy showers and longer spells of rain will affect much of France but dry in the far south. Plenty of heavy showers with scattered thunderstorms will affect England, Belgium, Holland, most of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Adriatic Region. Very warm with sunny spells across Italy with a few late heavy showers developing inland late in the day but staying dry in the south. For Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria will be a fine, very warm, summer's day. Lots of dry weather again come across Bulgaria up through Romania into the Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, the Baltic states and across Russia and southern Finland. Heavy showers will affect northern Finland along with Norway and Sweden and some of these could thundery. It continues hot, dry, sunny across Spain and Portugal.
