Autumn in northern Europe, fair to the south

Wednesday
Persistent rain for Portugal and western parts of Spain on Wednesday, whilst it remains dry and warm in the east of Spain and the Balearics. A few showers for Corsica and northern Italy, but dry and bright for Sardinia and southern Italy. Thunderstorms for Greece and Turkey. Dry and sunny in Cyprus. Remaining wet and windy for northern France, although just scattered showers in the south, and feeling warm. Mild but a few showers for Switzerland and Austria. Wind and rain for Belgium and the Netehrlands, plus western Germany. Dry and mild toward the east, although Poland may see a little rain. Dry for the Czech Republic, Hungary and much of eastern Europe, with variable amounts of cloud and fairly mild. Windy and showery for Norway and Denmark. Rain spreads north across Sweden and the Baltic states into southern Finland, accompanied by brisk southerly winds.


Thursday
Some rain and showers over Portugal today. Spain should be fair with good spells of sunshine here. Italy is going to be fair with sunny spells, and it should stay dry in Greece and Turkey too.
Cloud and some outbreaks of drizzle through much of France and central Germany, but dry in the Low Countries and the far north of Germany. Northern Poland will be cloudy with some drizzle, whilst the south is likely to be dry with sunny spells. Fair for Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland with some sunshine here.
Cloud and some rain to come through Denmark, and certainly cloudy and wet through the Baltic States, and later in Finland. Some rain in central and southern Sweden too. Further cloud and some rain for Norway, although this turning more showery later.
