Heavy showers eastern Mediterranean

Today
High pressure across eastern Europe will be the main feature of the weather. Lots of dry, sunny weather to come from Portugal across Spain into France, The Low Countries into Germany, Poland into eastern Europe. Rain is expected across Norway, Sweden and Finland as well as the Baltic States. Dry as well across the Adriatic Region and the Balkans. A number of showers to come from near Sardinia towards Scilly to Crete with heavy rain and showers across western Turkey. Mainly dry across eastern Turkey and fine across Italy. It remains windy across the Black Sea and down into the Aegean as well as across the Irish Sea through Scandinavia and the Baltic Region.

Tuesday
A cloudy day across Portugal with outbreaks of rain. Fair and dry across Spain. It remains dry with sunny spells from France across the Low Countries into Germany, Denmark and eastward through Poland, The Baltic States into southern Russia. Fine and dry as well across the Adriatic Region and most of the Balkans but rain and showers will affect southern Greece. Some heavy showers to come today from Sardinia eastward to Crete. Apart from a few showers it should be mainly dry across Turkey and Italy. Dry and sunny across Romania, The Ukraine and southern Russia. Rain is forecast across Finland and western Norway, but today across Sweden.
