Scattered thunderstorms in the Mediterranean
Tuesday
Showers for Portugal and north-west Spain on Tuesday, but it will stay dry and warm in the south and east of Spain. Dry for the Balearics and Sardinia, but risk of a few thundery showers for Corsica, also southern France and north-western Italy. Thunderstorms too for the far south of Italy and the southern Balkan states. Heavy bursts of rain for Greece, particularly in the west, although just scattered showers for the islands. A few showers for Turkey, but often dry. Windy for northern and central parts of France, with rain on and off throughout the day. Periods of rain and heavy showers for Belgium and the Netherlands. Wind and rain also for northern and western Germany, but drier toward the south. Breezy and showery rain for Switzerland, drier and brighter for Austria and the Czech Republic. Wet and windy in Denmark and southern parts of Norway and Sweden, turning to snow over the mountains. Windy for the Baltic states, but dry for Finland and northern Scandinavia.

Persistent rain for Portugal and western parts of Spain on Wednesday, whilst it remains dry and warm in the east of Spain and the Balearics. A few showers for Corsica and northern Italy, but dry and bright for Sardinia and southern Italy. Thunderstorms for Greece and Turkey. Dry and sunny in Cyprus. Remaining wet and windy for northern France, although just scattered showers in the south, and feeling warm. Mild but a few showers for Switzerland and Austria. Wind and rain for Belgium and the Netehrlands, plus western Germany. Dry and mild toward the east, although Poland may see a little rain. Dry for the Czech Republic, Hungary and much of eastern Europe, with variable amounts of cloud and fairly mild. Windy and showery for Norway and Denmark. Rain spreads north across Sweden and the Baltic states into southern Finland, accompanied by brisk southerly winds.
