Heavy rain in central Mediterranean, cold in west, warmer to east

Thursday
Cloud and some drizzle for northwest Portugal and northern Spain. Fair in eastern and southern Spain. Heavy showers in the balearics, and more cloud, rain and some heavy showers in Italy. Greece will be warm and dry with lots of sunshine, and more sunshine to come in Turkey.
France will have a cold morning, but then mostly dry in central areas, although rain arriving in the far west, and wet in the far southeast. Broken cloud and mostly dry in the Low Countries, with some thicker cloud and showers or rain in eastern parts of Germany. Poland, Austria, Hungary and Switzerland are likely to be wet and cloudy.
Cloud and rain in Denmark, some of it heavy. More cloud and some rain in the baltic States. Fair for Sweden, but chilly here. Some cloud and rain in the far south of Sweden. Fair in central and northern areas but chilly. A chilly day in Norway but it will be dry.

Friday
Showery periods of rain through central and eastern Spain today. More northern and central areas should be dry and bright, although cool. Bright in Portugal and dry here. The risk of some cloud and patchy rain in the balearics. Heavy periods of rain in Italy, the risk of some flooding the south. More rain in western Greece, but dry to the east. Fair in Turkey with sunny spells.
Winds with cloud and rain in much of France, turning showery in the west later. Wind and rain in the Low Countries, although drier in Germany with some bright spells. Cloud and some patchy rain to come in Poland. Cloud and some rain again for Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland.
Scattered showers for Denmark and these affecting Sweden as well. Cloud and rain for Norway and the Baltic States. Fair in Norway with some sunny spells in the south.
