Dry in Germany and the Baltic. Wind & rain in Norway


Saturday
Heavy rain spreads into north-western Spain and Portugal on Saturday, accompanied by strengthening winds. A few showers in southern Spain, but central and eastern Spain, plus the Balearics are drier and brighter. Dry and sunny in Corsica and Sardinia. Fine in northern and western Italy, whilst southern Italy continues to see heavy showers. Showers for the Balkan States. Persistent rain fro Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. An area of heavy thundery rain spreads across Greece and the Greek islands. Some rain for the west coast of Turkey, but dry and warm for most of Turkey and also Cyprus. Dry and very mild for eastern Europe thanks to a southerly breeze. Gusty winds and rain for north-west France, but bright and dry for eastern and southern France. Windy but mostly dry for Belgium and the Netherlands, although a few showers near the coast. Dry for Switzerland and most of Germany. Cloudy and a little patchy rain for Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Breezy, and patchy showery rain advancing north across Denmark into southern Norway and Sweden. Snow over the mountains of Scandinavia. Dry but cold for Finland.

Sunday
Heavy rain spreads south across Iberia overnight into Sunday. Cooler air and brighter skies spread from the north, although there will be heavy showers around the coast of Portugal and northern Spain. Heavy bursts of rain for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Sunshine and a few showers for Italy. Scattered thunderstorms for the Balkan states and Greece. Warm and sunny for Turkey and Cyprus, although heavy showers threaten the Aegean coast of Turkey. Outbreaks of rain for France, in the form of frequent showers in the north and west, but may merge into a period of heavy rain in the south of France, turning to snow in the Alps, and later spreading into Switzerland. Dry for Germany, Austria and most of eastern Europe, and feeling mild with a gentle southerly breeze, although some areas of low cloud and fog may persist. Breezy in Scandinavia. Frequent rain and snow for western Norway, although much of the Baltic region is dry and bright.
