Cloud and rain in central Europe, turning drier and colder to the north

Saturday
Low pressure continues to dominate western Europe, bringing widespread unsettled conditions. Frequent showers and longer spells of heavy rain in northern Spain and Portugal. Southern Spain dry and bright overall. Blustery showers for western France, drier in central areas.
An area of heavy rain, and mountain snow, moves into the French Alps, Switzerland and northern Italy, bringing renewed concerns for flooding in this region. Southern Italy dry and bright. Rain affects Sardinia and Corsica, brighter for the Balearics. Sunshine for Greece, whilst thunderstorms become confined to southern Turkey and the eastern Mediterranean. Eastern Europe continues to see plenty of dry weather, although breezy in Poland.
Rain encroaches into Germany, and patchy rain affects Belgium and the Netherlands, with a few showery bursts. Windy in Denmark, with a few showers. Light wintry showers in Norway and Sweden. Dry but cold in the far north.

Sunday
Fair across Spain and Portugal with some good spells of sunshine here. Staying fair in the Balearics although heavy showers will be affecting Italy. Mostly fine in Greece, but dry with sunny spells through Turkey.
Heavy showers in France with a risk of longer spells of rain in many areas. Showery bursts of rain in the Low Countries, with some cloud and rain in the south and west of Germany. More northern and eastern parts of Germany should be dry too. Some showery rain in Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.
Windy in Denmark with cloud and some outbreaks of rain. Windy too in the Baltic States with a few showers here. Dry with some clear skies in Finland, although cloud and some shower in the far south of Sweden. Norway should be dry.
