Driest south eastern Europe

Today
Sunny and cold across much of Britain today. Some rain to come across parts of France today along with much of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic into Poland. Mainly dry across Belgium and Holland with a few coastal showers. Snow is forecast across Norway and Finland with rain and snow across Sweden. Largely dry across the Baltic States with snow across Russia. Another fair, dry day to come across the Adriatic Region and most of the Balkan States. Lots of dry, sunny weather is expected across Turkey. More cloudy today across Italy with a few showers. Rain continues across eastern parts of Spain with western Spain and Portugal.

Tuesday
Strong winds will persist across the western and central Mediterranean and through the Straits of Gibraltar. Lots of heavy, squally showers too from the Balearics eastward to the Greek Isles. Rain moves in across Portugal with an area of rain across north east Spain into central and southern parts of France and across Italy, Austria into The Adriatic Region, The Czech Republic and Hungary. The rain turns quite heavy. Later some rain reaches Greece. A dry day with sunny spells expected across Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and The Ukraine. Most of Belgium, Holland and Germany should be fair and dry. Outbreaks of snow are forecast for northern Russia, The Baltic States and Belarus with snow into the north of Poland, rain in the south. Cold and windy across Scandinavia. Heavy snow is expected across western Norway with sunny skies across Sweden. Snow is also expected across western parts of Finland. Mild, wet and windy across Britain.
