Changeable for much of Europe, improving in the Mediterranean
Tuesday
Strong winds will persist across the western and central Mediterranean and through the Straits of Gibraltar. Lots of heavy, squally showers too from the Balearics eastward to the Greek Isles.
Rain moves in across Portugal with an area of rain across north east Spain into central and southern parts of France and across Italy, Austria into The Adriatic Region, The Czech Republic and Hungary. The rain turns quite heavy. Later some rain reaches Greece.
A dry day with sunny spells expected across Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and The Ukraine. Most of Belgium, Holland and Germany should be fair and dry. Outbreaks of snow are forecast for northern Russia, The Baltic States and Belarus with snow into the north of Poland, rain in the south. Cold and windy across Scandinavia. Heavy snow is expected across western Norway with sunny skies across Sweden. Snow is also expected across western parts of Finland. Mild, wet and windy across Britain.
Wednesday
A fair day in Portugal and Spain. Plenty of sunshine here and it should be staying dry too. An odd shower for the Balearics, but heavier showers in Italy. Further showers for Greece and also in the west of Turkey.
Cloud and rain in France, most in the north and west. Rain too through the Low Countries and Germany, the rain heavy at times in the north. More wind and rain in Poland, and the cloud with some spots of rain may affect Switzerland as well. Austria and Hungary should be drier.
Windy with cloud and rain in Denmark, this cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting Norway and the far south of Sweden too. Cloud with some showers in the Baltic States, a few heavy. Broken cloud for Finland and mostly dry, with similar weather in northern Sweden and the north of Norway.
