Fair across southern Europe, but some wind and cloud to the north
Christmas Eve
Fair and sunny across Portugal and Spain on Christmas Eve. It will be dry and warm as well as sunny in the Balearics and Italy. Greece should be dry and sunny too, and it should be remaining that way across Turkey.
Fair across southern France and Switzerland as well as Austria and Hungary. Cloud and showery rain for northern France as well as across the Low Countries and northern Germany and Poland. Windy here too with gales in Germany and Poland too.
Fair for southern parts of the UK and Ireland. Cloud and rain with strong winds in Denmark. Further cloud and heavy rain in the Baltic States. The risk of snow for Finland, some heavy. Snow showers across cnetral and southern Sweden, cool but mainly dry for Norway.
Christmas Day
A fair day in most of Spain and Portugal, although cloud and some showers affecting the far north of Spain. More sunshine through the Balearics, but some heavy showers in Italy, especially the north. Greece and Turkey will be dry with sunny spells here.
A band of showery rain passes south through France and into Switzerland and Austria as well as Hungary. Northern France will be cold and bright, although further showers and rain for the Low Countries. Rain in northern Germany and Poland, but drier to the south.
Mostly fair through Denmark. Sleet and snow for Finland, with some snow showers also affecting Finland. Mostly dry for Sweden and chilly here, although cloud and sleet or snow in Norway.
