Staying windy and unsettled in the north and becoming colder here, drier south

Thursday
Rain affecting northwestern Portugal and Spain today. Dry and sunny to the south and east, and this sunshine extending into the Balearics too. More sunshine over Italy and dry weather here too. Fair in Greece and Turkey, dry and sunny throughout, although frosty inland.
Breezy with rain and turning colder for the north and west of France. Wind and outbreaks of rain to come in the Low Countries, some of it heavy, and this affecting Germany and northern Poland too. Some showers in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Very strong winds in more northern areas with gales through Denmark and Norway. Rain arriving here, some of it heavy. Fair for the Baltic States and Finland.

Friday
Showers affecting northern parts of Spain today. Sunny, cold and breezy elsewhere through Spain and Portugal. Cloud and rain in the Balearics, with rain, some heavy, affecting southern France. Brighter for the rest of France with sunny spells, a few showers in the far north.
Fair with sunny spells in Italy. Staying fine in Greece as well. Heavy showers to come across Turkey, rain in the far north of the country.
Wintry showers, some of them heavy in the Low Countries. Rain across northern and eastern Germany, but brighter to the west. Cloud and rain in the rest of Poland as well as Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
