Cold for most of Europe, sleet and snow in the north
Friday
Cloud and some showery outbreaks of rain in Portugal. Spain should be fair with sunny spells. Showers in the Balearics, with low pressure over southern Italy bringing some unsettled weather with showers here. Heavy showers affecting Greece, with some rain in western Turkey, but dry to the east.
Fair and cool in France, but some fog in the west. Fair and cool through the Low Countries and most of Germany. Some sunny spells across Portugal too. Breezy for Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Fair with good spells of sunshine in Denmark. Fair for the Baltic States and a few showers in Finland. Cloud and some rain in western Norway, but fair in the east.
Saturday
Sunny spells and cold in Spain and Portugal with some showers in the far north. Staying cold in the Balearics with a few showers, and these being heavier over southern parts of Italy. Cloud and rain for Greece, these heavy in the east. More showers in central and western Turkey, some heavy.
Cloud and some wintry showers in central and southern France. Brighter and colder to the north. Further scattered wintry showers over the Low Countries and parts of central Germany. Poland will be cold with sunny spells, and probably staying chilly in Austria and Switzerland.
Cloud and some sleet and snow in Denmark. Chilly with a wintry showers for the Baltic States and further snow showers in Finland. Norway will be chilly too with some snow showersm and heavier snow showers affecting western Sweden.
