Staying cold for most of Europe, wet and windy south
Wednesday
A cold and unsettled day in Spain and Portugal. Snow showers affecting the hills, some more persistent rain in eastern and southern areas. Wintry showers in the Balearics and unsettled in Italy with cloud and periods of rain, but some snow in the far north. Showery rain in Greece, cloud and some outbreaks of rain across Turkey.
Cold with snow showers or even longer spells of snow affecting southern France. More northern areas will be cool, perhaps with some wintry showers. Further wintry showers over the Low Countries. Germany will be chilly and mostly dry. Some snow showers in northern POland, cloud with sleet and snow over Austria and Switzerland as well as Hungary.
Some snow showers over Denmark. Sweden will have some heavy snow showers, but drier in the Baltic States as well as Finland. Norway will be chilly but dry.
Thursday
A cold day through Spain and Portugal. Showers in the north of Spain, but mostly dry for Portugal and southwest Spain. Rain and strong winds in eastern Spain, with a windy and wet day in the Balearics. Unsettle for Italy with more rain to come here. Mild and breezy in Greece, and staying warm in Turkey.
Chilly in France with showers, but heavier precipitation and gale force winds in southern France bringing snow here. More showers in the Low Countries and staying cold. Remaining cold in Germany and Poland but mostly dry. Breezy in Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Fair in Denmark with sunny spells. Staying fair in Norway with some sunny spells. Further sunny spells in the Baltic States and Finland. Cloud and some showers in western Norway.
