Settled across Western Europe

Today
A cold, wintry day across much of Europe sub zero maximum temperatures from Germany eastward into Russia and Scandinavia. It will be dry across the United Kingdom, most of France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Southern parts of Germany though will see some outbreaks of snow. Outbreaks of heavy snow are likely to affect a large area from Finland across Russia across the Baltic States across into Belarus, the western Ukraine into Romania and much of the Balkan States along with the Adriatic Region. Plenty of heavy snow showers to come across Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria. Cold across Turkey with outbreaks of snow in places and snow may also affect parts of Greece number of showers to affect the Mediterranean region today, some of these heavy most of Italy should be dry. It will be rather windy throughout the Mediterranean with a strong mistral blowing across southern parts of France. A cold day to come across Sweden but dry. Snow showers will affect western parts of Norway.

Monday
High pressure keep much of western Europe settled. Expect a good deal of dry weather across United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Spain and Belgium. Cloudy across Germany with some light outbreaks of rain although heavy snow is likely to affect Bavaria. The outbreaks of heavy snow are forecast for Austria, much of the Adriatic Region and the Balkans along with Greece and parts of Turkey. Outbreaks of snow are also expected across central and southern parts of Italy today with northern Italy remaining dry. Lots of showers to come Sicily eastward across to Cyprus some of these again will be heavy. Cold but dry across Norway and Sweden outbreaks of snow affected across Finland, the Baltic States, Russia, Romania, the Ukraine and Bulgaria. Mainly dry but cold across Poland today. Very strong easterly wind will affect northern coasts of Spain along with Straits of Gibraltar. It will also be very windy from Sicily into the eastern Mediterranean.
