Snow for Turkey; Windy Scandinavia
Tuesday
Heavy and thundery rain affects southern Spain on Tuesday. Dry although breezy in central Spain, also Portugal. A few showers near the Biscay coast of Spain. Thundery rain also affects the western Mediterranean islands, including southern Italy and Sicily. Dry and bright in northern Italy, plus Switzerland and Austria. Scattered showers for Greece. Chilly and cloudy with persistent rain or snow for Turkey, and a few showers for Cyprus. Dry but quite cloudy across France, Germany and the Low Countries, but not especially cold. High pressure brings plenty of dry weather to eastern Europe. Windy for Scandinavia, with frequent snow in the west of Norway, although drier for Sweden and Finland, with scattered snow showers.
Wednesday
A north-easterly breeze affects the Mediterranean, and there will be further clusters of thunderstorms, most widespread south of Sardinia and near Sicily, but a scattering of thundery showers near south-east Spain. Dry for Portugal and northern Spain. High pressure brings extensive fine weather to France, most of Italy and across central and eastern Europe. Areas of low cloud and fog may linger, but sunshine should break through for many in countries including Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. Fine for most of Greece, with scattered showers in the Aegean Sea. Low pressure centred over Turkey brings chilly conditions and further snowfall over the mountains, but possibly to low levels too. Remaining windy across Scandinavia, with further heavy snow or rain at low levels in western Norway. Patchy rain for Sweden and northern Denmark.
