Dry for most of Austria, particularly in the east. Thundery rain encroaches into western Italy, although toward the east and south-east of the Italian peninsula it remains dry until later in the day. Mild and breezy in Poland and the Czech Republic. Dry across eastern Europe. Patchy rain and drizzle affects southern Sweden and Denmark. Heavy rain for mainland Greece, although the Greek islands may remain dry. Sunshine for Turkey and Cyprus. A windy day for southern France, with risk of gales. Windy too for the Alpine region, with some snow in Austria and the eastern Alps. Mainly dry across France, although patchy rain may encroach into the north-west later.
