High pressure resides across central Europe, bringing extensively dry and sunny weather. A sunny and warm day for Spain and Portugal on Saturday. Plenty of sunshine too across France. Feeling pleasantly warm, highest temperatures toward the Biscay coast. Fair in the western Mediterranean. Dry and sunny for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Cool, breezy and unsettled for southern Italy, with showers, locally heavy and thundery. Brighter with light winds in northern Italy. Rain and mountain snow over the southern Balkan states and Bulgaria. Heavy bursts of rain and thunderstorms for Greece, the Greek Islands and western Turkey. Warm and dry for Cyprus. Eastern Europe stays dry and bright with light winds. Fairly mild, but a strong south-westerly wind for Scandinavia. Patchy drizzle in Denmark and southern Sweden. Heavy rain continues for western and northern Norway, also northern Sweden. Patchy rain and snow for Finland.

Sunny for Cyprus. Dry and sunny for the Alpine region and eastern Europe. Germany is also dry, although breezy in the north. Low pressure north of Scandinavia. Heavy rain and mountain snow in western Norway. Staying breezy or windy. Denmark should be generally dry although cloudy. Dry and quite mild in Sweden. Patchy rain in Finland.
