Today
Not quite as cold across northern Spain today and mild in the south. Much of Spain and Portugal and fine and dry with sunny spells and this extends across the Balearics. Very windy day in the central Mediterranean with outbreaks of heavy rain expected across Italy, Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily. Heavy snow is expected across the Alps. Lots of dry weather with sunny spells is expected across Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary across the Adriatic Region. Some light rain and scattered showers affect parts of Greece. Cold across Turkey with snow flurries and occasional snow showers. Fine and dry across Bulgaria, Romania, the Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States and Russia with sunny spells. Cold but dry with sunny spells across Finland and northern parts of Norway and Sweden while a mix of rain sleet and snow affects southern parts of Norway southern Sweden rain likely across Denmark. Much of Poland, Germany and northern France along with Low Countries should be dry rain and showers for southern France.

An area of heavy rain spreads in across Portugal and south western parts of Spain today. The rest of Spain should be fine and dry but a few showers around the Balearics. Corsica and Sardinia while further heavy rain is expected to fall across Italy and Sicily. High pressure expected to give much of mainland Europe settled day. It looks dry from France across Low Countries into Germany, Poland, the Baltic States, the Ukraine into Russia. It will also be fine and dry across much of Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. Further snowfalls are expected across the Alps today with the Adriatic Region and much of the Balkans to remain settled and dry. Continued cold across Turkey with outbreaks of snow across eastern Turkey with the west dry. A strong easterly wind will develop through the Straits of Gibraltar with a strong north northwest winds blowing down through the Aegean Sea. Much of the Mediterranean will be quite windy today.
