Rain for Portugal
Today
An area of heavy rain spreads in across Portugal and south western parts of Spain today. The rest of Spain should be fine and dry but a few showers around the Balearics. Corsica and Sardinia while further heavy rain is expected to fall across Italy and Sicily. High pressure expected to give much of mainland Europe settled day. It looks dry from France across Low Countries into Germany, Poland, the Baltic States, the Ukraine into Russia. It will also be fine and dry across much of Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. Further snowfalls are expected across the Alps today with the Adriatic Region and much of the Balkans to remain settled and dry. Continued cold across Turkey with outbreaks of snow across eastern Turkey with the west dry. A strong easterly wind will develop through the Straits of Gibraltar with a strong north northwest winds blowing down through the Aegean Sea. Very windy across the central Mediterranean and across north east Europe.
Tuesday
A chilly day across Europe but milder across England. The weather continues settled and dry across a good part of Europe from France eastward into Germany, The Low Countries, Poland, The Baltic States into Russia. Some rain to come across Greece otherwise another fine, day to come across The Balkans and the Adriatic Region. Continued cold across Turkey with a few rain, sleet and snow showers. A cloudy, windy and wet day to come across Italy with heavy rain with snow over the Alps. Wet too with heavy rain across Portugal and showers for western parts of Spain. Fair, chilly but dry across central and eastern parts of Spain. Sunny and dry across Finland with Sweden and Norway dry but cloudy.
