Cool toward the east; showers Greece & Turkey


Thursday
Heavy showers and outbreaks of rain across Spain, particularly toward the south. Clusters of showers may also affect southern Portugal. Drier across the rest of Portugal and most of north-eastern Spain. A few showers are possible in the Balearics, although Corsica and Sardinia will be largely dry. Scattered showers in southern Italy. Heavier showers for Greece, although the Greek Islands may avoid most of them. Some heavy bursts of rain or mountain snow in Turkey. Patchy rain, sleet and snow across Romania and Bulgaria and feeling cold.
France is dry and bright on the whole, but locally some showery rain in the far southwest. Broken cloud and cool in the Low Countries and Germany. Mostly dry across Switzerland, Austria and Hungary with broken cloud.
Dry with sunny spells in Denmark and the Baltic States. Sweden is likely to be dry with sunny spells as well. Rain in western and northern Norway, but drier and brighter in the south.Mostly dry in southern Finland, but some snow showers to the north and windy here too.

Friday
Heavy and locally thundery rain is likely to affect central-southern Spain on Friday. Elsewhere across Iberia there will be showers, although Portugal may stay largely dry and quite warm. Cooler in the breeze for northern Spain. Bursts of heavy rain may also affect south-western France, although most of France will stay dry and bright, feeling fairly mild in any sunshine. A good deal of dry weather for Italy and the central Mediterranean. Scattered showers for Greek and Turkey.
Light winds and rather benign conditions for central and eastern Europe. Germany, Poland and the Alpine states are broadly dry with broken cloud. Mainly dry for eastern Europe, although on the cool side, with a light sleet and snow for Romania. Thicker cloud across the Netherlands and Denmark, with patchy rain advancing from the north.
Damp and cool conditions for southern Norway and Sweden, with snow over the mountains. Mostly dry for Finland and the Baltic States, although some snow flurries.
