Rain in the Mediterranean, fair further north

Saturday
Low pressure over south-western Europe brings continued unsettled conditions for southern and eastern Spain, with slow moving areas of thundery rain. Showers for Portugal, although north-west Iberia will stay dry, but breezy. Heavy showers too for southern France, but central and northern France will be dry. Rain and mountain snow for the Swiss and Italian Alps, but mainly dry further east across Austria and Hungary. Sunshine and mild for southern Italy with light winds. Greece and the Balkan States are also dry and bright. Bursts of rain or snow for Turkey. Breezy and cloudy for Belgium and the Netherlands. Patchy rain for northern Germany, drier but mostly cloud toward the south. Rain and drizzle too for Poland. Rain and a risk of snow for southern Sweden. Dry for Norway and Finland. Feeling cool with brisk winds in the Baltic.

Sunday
Another unsettled day in Spain and Portugal. There will be rain or showers for many areas, most in the south and east. Further heavy showers in southern France and through Italy too. Greece should be dry with sunny spells, and it should be dry in Turkey.
Central and northern France are likely to be dry but with a fair amount of cloud. Sunny spells and dry in the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland. Austria and Hungary will be dry, but expected some rain in Switzerland.
A fair day to come in Denmark with lots of sunshine. More dry weather and sunshine in the Baltic States. Cloud and some rain through Finland as well as parts of southern Norway and Sweden.
