Thundery rain central & southern areas
Saturday
High pressure is to the far north, and generally low pressure sits across central Europe on Saturday. Dry and very warm in southern Spain & Portugal. Scattered thundery showers in the east of Spain, cooler in the north. Warm across the central and eastern Mediterranean, and there will be plenty of sunshine, although also scattered thundery showers for southern Italy and Greece. The Alpine region is expected to see frequent rain and thunder, also affecting much of northern Italy. Feeling fresh with a good deal of sunshine for France. Cloudy with locally heavy bursts of rain for Germany and Denmark. Hot and dry for Poland and Hungary, where temperatures will reach the mid-30s Celsius. Warm in Sweden. Some rain may affect southern Norway and Sweden, but northern Scandinavia and the Baltic states will be largely dry and sunny.

Dry and very warm for Portugal and southern Spain. A little cooler for northern Spain. Thundery rain will affect Italy and the Balkan region, whilst much of the Mediterranean will be dry. Dry and hot for Greece and Turkey. High temperatures extend across eastern Europe, reaching 34 to 37C for Poland, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. Areas of heavy rain for Germany and the Czech Republic. Thundery too for the Alps. Dry and bright for France, temperatures around 20 to 25C, warmest in the south. Breezy with a little rain for southern areas of Sweden and Norway, but expect plenty of dry and sunny weather across Scandinavia, with high pressure staying in charge. Warm in southern Sweden.
