Fine and summery across the Mediterranean

Today
Quite warm across much of Europe today with the highest temperatures likely across southern parts of Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey. A windy day with heavy rain across England, France into north west Spain. Most of Spain will be warm and dry with cloud and sunnier spells while a few heavy showers to affect north parts of Portugal. Some heavy showers roll into Belgium and southern Germany in the afternoon with a risk of thunder. Northern Germany, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland should be dry, mostly sunny and warm. Much of eastern Europe is dry, sunny and very warm under high pressure. A few sharp showers may develop across the Adriatic Region and the Balkans along with eastern Turkey. Fine and sunny across western parts of Turkey, Romania, the Ukraine, Russia, the Baltic States and Poland. Strong winds will affect the Straits of Gibraltar, Britain, southern France, The North Sea along with Biscay.

Another warm day to come across Europe. Heavy rain and strong winds will affect Britain. This rain spreads in Belgium in the morning then into Germany in the afternoon. Showers will affect France with sunny spells. Heavy showers will affect Belgium, Holland, Denmark and southern parts of Norway and Sweden in the afternoon with a risk of thunder. A number of heavy showers develop across northern parts of Italy with the south very warm and sunny. Warm, dry and sunny as well across the Adriatic Region, Romania, Poland, the Baltic States, Finland and the Ukraine. Still a few showers to come across eastern Turkey with the west dry and summery. For Spain and Portugal expect sunny spells with a few heavy showers. Very windy across the channel and northern France into the North Sea. A strong north west wind will also prevail from the Aegean Sea into Crete.
