Temperatures will be very hot again across Europe, particularly in the south and east. Highs climbing to 40C for south-western Spain & Portugal. Scattered thunderstorms for north-east Spain. The Mediterranean remains mainly dry, sunny and hot. Isolated thunderstorms for southern Italy and Greece. Thundery rain will affect central and southern France throughout the day, particularly in the western Alps, and later extending across much of eastern France and south-western Germany. Brighter for northern France and the Low Countries, with pleasantly warm sunshine. Dry and sunny for northern Germany and Denmark. Breezy in western Norway, with a little patchy rain toward the north. Warm and dry for Sweden and Finland. Hot for eastern Europe, temperatures well into the 30s Celsius for the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.

Monday
Staying hot for Spain and Portugal, particularly in the south-west. Scattered storms again in north-east Spain. Thunderstorms breaking out widely across Italy and Switzerland, also western Austria. Scattered thunderstorms for mainland Greece and Turkey, although the Greek Islands should stay mainly dry. Most of France will be dry and sunny, but expect some drizzly rain around Brittany. Areas of rain may affect Belgium and the Netherlands. Hot with isolated storms for Germany. Temperatures again very hot across eastern Europe. It will be dry and warm too for Sweden and Finland. More cloud and patchy rain in northern and western parts of Norway.
