Heat continues in eastern Europe
Monday
Staying hot for Spain and Portugal, particularly in the south-west. Scattered storms in the south-east of Spain. Thunderstorms breaking out widely across Italy and Switzerland, also western Austria. Scattered thunderstorms for mainland Greece and Turkey, although the Greek Islands should stay mainly dry. Most of France will be dry, with occasional sun. Scattered showers in the east, and also around Brittany. Areas of rain may affect Belgium and the Netherlands. Hot with isolated storms for Germany, mainly in the west. Eastern Germany and Poland will be dry and hot. Also fine and warm for Sweden and Finland. More cloud and patchy rain in northern and western parts of Norway.

Hot again across southern and eastern Europe, although temperatures in Spain and Portugal may subside a few degrees. Scattered showers in eastern and northern Spain. Southern Italy will see thunderstorms, whilst northern Italy is more likely to stay dry. A few thundery showers for Greece and Turkey. Cloud and patchy rain affects northern France, whilst central areas remain dry. Showery for the western Alps. Isolated showers for southern Germany. Cloudy, perhaps a little rain for Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. Dry and hot across Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. Periods of rain for western Norway, extending into Sweden. Warm in southern Scandinavia, also Finland and the Baltic states.
