Thundery rain affects the Biscay regions of Spain and western France. Elsewhere in France it will be very warm and humid but dry, highs of 34C in the west. Most of Portugal and southern Spain will be dry and very warm at 33C. Scattered thunderstorms for north-east Spain and the Pyrenees. Dry and sunny for Italy and the Mediterranean islands. Thundery showers for Greece and Bulgaria. Dry for Cyprus. Scattered thundery showers for the Alpine states, but dry weather influences most of central and eastern Europe as high pressure resides over Scandinavia. Warm temperatures reaching 23 to 26C for Germany and the Low Countries. Highs reaching 24C for Sweden, Finland and the Baltic states, nearer 20C in southern Norway.

Sunday
Thundery rain will affect western France from the early hours of Sunday morning, advancing slowly into central and eastern France, giving a risk of torrential storms during the day, threatening Belgium by late afternoon then western Germany and Switzerland toward evening. Feeling very warm and humid in these areas, whilst fresher conditions develop for western France. Rain developing for the north-west corner of Iberia, but most of Spain and Portugal will be dry and sunny, with highs of 30 to 34C in the south. The Mediterranean remains fair, with plenty of sunshine for Italy and Greece and just an isolated thundery shower. Generally dry and warm for eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Breezy in southern Norway and Denmark. Windy too for the Netherlands and Germany.
