Windy across Scandinavia, cool & showery north

Friday
High pressure extends across Europe from north-west toward the east, giving plenty of fair weather. Temperatures 17 to 20C central areas, up to 24C western France and Italy, and highs of 30C in south-western Iberia. Dry and warm in Portugal, and much of Spain, although expect a few showers in the north-east. Rain continues for western Italy and Corsica, some heavy and prolonged falls, encroaching into south-east France and southern Switzerland. Broken cloud and some sun for the Balkan region, Greece and Turkey. A few showers around the southern Black Sea. Dry and mild across northern France and the Low Countries. Early mist for Germany and Poland. A deep area of low pressure brings strong winds to Scandinavia, and frequent rain to northern regions of Norway and Sweden. Dry in southern Sweden. Lighter winds in Denmark.

Saturday
Dry, sunny and very warm in southern Spain and Portugal. Cooler in northern Iberia. Some residual rain for Italy, but becoming brighter most areas. Patchy rain across the Balkan coast. Dry for Greece and most of Turkey. Areas of rain for southern and central France, some thundery bursts. Patchy rain too across the Alpine states. Dry for Belgium, the Netherlands and much of Germany. Eastern Europe and the Baltic region also sees dry weather, with a good amount of sunshine, although some morning fog. Feeling warm in Poland. Rain affects western Norway. Rather cool in northern Scandinavia, but it will be quite mild in southern Sweden.
