Warm sunshine southern Spain & Portugal

Friday
High pressure influences much of central and south-western Europe on Friday, bringing lots of dry weather. Plenty of sunshine for Spain and Portugal, feeling warm in the south, highs 25C in the Algarve. Dry for Italy and the Balkan states, although quite breezy. Unsettled conditions for Greece and Turkey, with heavy rain and thunderstorms. A lot of cloud across France, the Low Countries and Germany, with very light winds. Some warm sunshine for southern France. Dry too across the Alpine region. Also mainly dry across Scandinavia, but western Norway will see drizzly rain. The Baltic States and Finland will be cool, breezy and showery. Similar breezy conditions for Poland, although it stays dry.

Saturday
Dry weather continues for many areas. Warm in southern Spain and Portugal, although thicker cloud extends across north-western Iberia due to a weak cold front. Cloudy for western France, a little drizzly rain around Brittany, otherwise France stays dry and bright, with warm sunshine in south, highs of 22C. Fair weather extends across the Alps, Italy, the Balkan states and eastern Europe under the influence of high pressure. Thundery rain eases away from Greece, but lingers across Turkey and Cyprus. In northern Europe, a southerly breeze freshens across Scandinavia, also Germany and the Low Countries. Temperatures around 15C. Rain sets in for western Norway, whilst Sweden and the Baltic region are dry and quite mild.
