Gales, heavy rain northern Europe

Today
Pleasantly warm across Iberia, much of France and Italy, cooler across eastern Europe. With high pressure in charge expect a fine, dry day with sunny spells across Portugal, Spain into France, The Low countries and into Poland. Heavy rain is forecast across the Baltic States, Belarus and the Ukraine. Chilly but dry and sunny across Norway and Sweden with a cloudier but dry day across Finland. Lots of sunshine in the forecast for Italy, The Adriatic Region, the Balkans and Turkey. Heavy rain to affect northern Britain with much of England windy but dry. South westerly gales will affect the channel with strong north west winds across eastern Europe. A gusty east wind prevails through the Straits of Gibraltar.


Monday
A wet and windy day across the United Kingdom with gales. The fine spell of warm, sunny weather will persist across Spain, France and Italy. Cloudy but dry across Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Rain is forecast across Germany, Poland and Sweden. Colder across Norway with snow. A dry day to come for Finland while rain and snow falls across northern Russia. More rain is expected across the Ukraine. Fine and continued dry across The Adriatic Region, the Balkans and Turkey but rain and snow may spread into north east Turkey layer in the day, A fine, sunny day is expected across the Mediterranean. Gales will persist across Britain and the channel and it stays windy in the Straits of Gibraltar.
