Colder across Spain

Today
A cold day in store for much of Europe. Temperatures will be sub zero across Scandinavia and northern Russia. Rain is expected across northern parts of Portugal and Spain. Dry and sunnier across southern parts of Iberia while rain and showers affects the Balearics, Sardinia and Scilly. Generally cloudy and cold across France with some rain and wet snow in the east. Heavy snow will fall across The Alps, parts of Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. Rather cloudy with a few showers across Italy. An area of heavy rain to affect Poland, the Adriatic and much of the Balkans. This also extends across southern parts of Russia. Most of Turkey should be fair and dry. Rain and heavy showers are forecast for Belgium and Holland with a risk of heavy snow across Denmark and later across northern parts of Germany. Bitterly cold across Scandinavia with sunny spells for Norway and Sweden. Snow showers are expected across western Norway with a cloudy, cold day across Finland and the Baltic States with snow showers. Strong north west winds will affect southern France with gusty south west winds in the central Mediterranean. An area of gale force winds will affect an area from Greece into Bulgaria, Romania, the Ukraine and southern Russia.

It continues cold across much of Europe with the milder temperatures in across Greece and Turkey. Heavy rain spreads in across northern parts of Britain but dry across much of England. Mostly fine and dry across Spain and Portugal but a few heavy showers near the north coast. Plenty of heavy showers persist across the Balearics into Sardinia and Corsica with heavy rain across parts of Italy into the Adriatic Region and much of the Balkans. Showers to affect Greece with Turkey to stay fair and dry with sunny spells. Dry across France with sunny spells. Some light rain to come across eastern parts of Germany, mixed with snow. Snow is expected across northern parts of Poland and Finland. A dry day across southern Poland. Cold across Norway with long spells of crisp, wintry sunshine. Rain and snow is forecast across Russia. A few showers to affect the Baltic States. Fine across the Ukraine with sunny spells. Strong north west winds to continue across southern parts of France with gusty southerly winds up through the Aegean Sea.
