Fair Mediterranean, gales to north
Thursday
Another fair day in Spain and Portugal. Good spells of sunshine here and it is going to be dry too. More dry weather and sunny spells to come in Italy. Greece and Turkey should be dry with more sunshine here.
Morning fog across France and Switzerland together with southern Germany and Austria will be slow to clear. Once it has it should be dry with lots of sunshine. Wind through the UK, and staying windy for northern Germany and Poland where there could be some spots of rain in the north.
Rain across Denmark as well as gale force winds. Those winds continuing to blow through the Baltic States. Fair for Finland and dry here too. Rain and cloud in Sweden, with heavy showers in Norway.
Friday
Rain and cloud across northern Iberia today. Most of the rest of Spain and Portugal should be dry with sunny spells. More sunshine to come across the central Mediterranean, through Italy and also in Greece and most of Turkey.
A band of showery rain slips south through France, with showers following to the north, some of them heavy. Further heavy showers in the Low Countries and northern Germany, but cloud and some showery rain in central Germany and Poland. Fine with plenty of sunshine across Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Heavy showers and cooler weather in the UK. This mix of sunshine and showers passing through Denmark. Rain for southern Sweden, reaching the Baltic States later, but dry in Finland. Severe gales for Norway with showers and snow in the west.
