Unsettled Mediterranean, particularly in the east where there is heavy rain.

Friday
Rain clearing to the east of Spain. Portugal staying mainly dry and fine. Showery rain affecting the Balearics as well as Sardinia and Corsica into parts of central Italy. Drier elsewhere here with only one or two showers across Sicily. Scattered showers across Greece into western Turkey. Drier further east here.
Cloudier skies with showery rain affecting west and south France. Dry, fine and chilly for the Low Countries and Germany. Dry but perhaps more cloud cover for Switzerland and Austria. Some patchy rain across southern regions of Poland. Drier further north here.
High pressure over Scandinavia gives a largely dry and fine day with light winds for most and good spells of sunshine about though it will be chilly. The very far north of Finland and Norway, however, will see some snow.

Saturday
Showery rain becoming more widespread across Spain and Portugal today. Best of the drier weather further north. A few scattered showers across the Baleric islands as well as across Sardinia and Corsica. Heavy rain expected through southern Italy and Sicily into Greece and west Turkey. Drier across east Turkey.
Cloudier skies with showery rain affecting coastal regions of France mainly, elsewhere should be dry with sunny spells. Dry with sunny spells across the Low Countries, Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well as Poland. Croatia largely dry too although one or two showers in the far south.
Snow pushing in to northern regions of Norway quickly turning into a blizzard as the winds strengthen here. Dry with sunny spells in the south. Largely dry through Sweden but becoming increasingly windy further north. Rain, sleet and snow through north Finland while dry further south. Dry with sunny spells through Denmark and the Baltics.
