Thursday
Continued windy across the country today but not quite as windy as Wednesday. Rain clears the north of Scotland then expect some blustery showers. A cloudy morning elsewhere with outbreaks of rain across southern Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England and Wales. Mainly dry to the south. Expect little overall change for the afternoon with East Anglia and the south of England chiefly dry. More rain to the north and this will be heavy at times. Quite mild with temperatures at 10 to 14C.

Thursday
Less windy this evening and tonight but the rain will linger from Wales and The North Midlands northward. The rain will be heaviest across northern England and parts of Wales. To the south continued dry albeit cloudy. Another mild night to come with lows of 6 to 10C for most.

Friday
Cold but less windy across Scotland today with showers in the west, dry, sunny in the east. A dry day as well for Northern Ireland. More rain to come across England and Wales. This doesn't clear the south east until overnight. A frost is likely to develop in the north. Maximums of 5 to 7C for Scotland, 8 to 12C across England and Wales.

Saturday
A colder day for the UK today. Apart from scattered showers around the western coasts of Scotland and England and snow showers for northern Scotland, it looks fine and dry this morning with lots of sunshine through central and eastern areas. Some rain to come in the afternoon for Northern Ireland and southern Scotland with wintry showers in the north. Continued fair and dry for England and Wales with some sunshine. Highs at 4 to 6C north, 6 to 9C south.

Sunday
Just a few showers for northern Scotland today, a few wintry over the Highlands. Mostly fair and dry across the rest of the United Kingdom with some sunshine and lots of cloud. Rain across Scotland spill south into Northern Ireland and northern England overnight. Highs at 5 to 9C.
