Monday
Cloudy and misty across England and Wales this morning with sporadic outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Much of this looks quite light. To the north it should be a dry, cold and bright morning with good spells of sunshine. This afternoon the patchy rain should fade from England and Wales but staying quite cloudy though brighter. Continued fine and dry across Scotland and Northern Ireland with the best of the sunshine. Expect maximums of 5 to 9C north to south.
Monday Night
Still a fair amount of cloud to come this evening and tonight across Wales and central and southern England with the odd spot of drizzle over the hills. Elsewhere it's dry, clear and cold with a frost developing overnight. Lows at lows of 0 to -2C in the north, 3 to 6C in the south.
Tuesday
With high pressure dominating all parts of the United Kingdom will be settled and dry with sunny spells and patchy cloud after morning fog and frost clears. There is a risk of some light rain and drizzle across the Northern Isles and the far north of Scotland for a time. Overnight expect a dry night with a widespread frost and fog patches. These may be locally dense through central and southern England. Highs at 4 to 8C.
Wednesday
Some locally dense fog patches are possible across central and southern parts of the country this morning. These will clear this morning otherwise it looks like another settled day for all parts of the United Kingdom with plenty of sunshine to be found. Mostly clear tonight with a frost through central areas. Highs at 7 to 10C. fog and frost returning to most areas. Highs of 4 to 9C but colder where fog lingers longest.
Thursday
It turns windier with rain for north west Scotland today. For the remainder of the United Kingdom high pressure will keep it fine and dry with sunny skies. Fog and frost is expected in the morning and the fog will be dense in places. Some rain for Scotland tonight, foggy and frosty for England and Wales. Highs of 5 to 9C.
